Something Old, Something New

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Are you planning on using this classic tradition on your wedding day? We love seeing how brides incorporate this into their wedding. Do you know the meaning behind this? Here's a quick history lesson! Something old represents continuity in your love and marriage. Something new offers optimism for the future! Something borrowed symbolizes borrowed happiness. Something blue stands for purity, love, and fidelity. The meaning behind this tradition is beautiful and something that many brides today still do! Show us how you incorporated or plan on incorporating old, new, borrowed, and blue into your wedding!

Something Old

Charms or jewelry from a mother or grandmother can be a great 'Something Old'! This bride tied this necklace into her bouquet.

Something New

Your wedding dress, of course! Or any jewelry, headpieces, or accessories that go along with your wedding ensemble. This is a super easy one to achieve!

Something Borrowed

This required a little crafting from the bride, but she has chosen to use some of the lace from her mother's wedding gown and turned it into a hair piece! (Also could be used for something old.)

Something Blue

This may be our favorite one. Something blue! We obsess over any bride who chooses to wear blue shoes to her wedding! We've also seen brides have their new initials monogrammed on the inside of their wedding dress in blue! Adorable!
